Dr. William D. Snyder, a native of Ohio, served 12 years as a captain in the United States Marine Corps before matriculating as a veterinarian student at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, in Columbus, OH.

After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, Dr. Snyder reentered the military as a U.S. Army Major in the Veterinary Corps. Dr. Snyder’s service with the U.S. Army led him to the great city of El Paso and his military retirement from the Fort Bliss military base.

Dr. Snyder’s passion to provide essential pet care for furry family members in the El Paso community led him and his wife to open their own clinic, and thus, The Veterinary Care Centers of Texas was born.

Dr. Snyder enjoys all his patients, small or large, and has a particular keen interest in treating exotic pets and loves treating scaly, furry, and feathered patients whenever he gets the chance.

Dr.Snyder and his wife share their home with their beloved furry family members, Lonestar and Lola, Gertrude (the duck), and enjoy visits from their grand-dogs: Scrappy, Pearl, Sprout, Annie, and Tulah. In his spare time, Dr. Snyder can be found out running on the beautiful roads and trails of El Paso, TX.
